No Sunday Run

Been a tough week personally with Trace's grandma taking a turn for the worse all of a sudden and then passing away Thurs. At least she didn't suffer for too long, funeral is on Wed.

Woke up this morning feeling not the greatest after going to bed with bad headache last night, may have been because the Eagles lost again, only joking and felt dodgey all day, so decided not to run. Will try and make up for it early on in the week with a 20k+ run.

Other than that, very happy with how the running is going, just need to control myself as I ran a no of runs quicker than I intended.

Week in summary 66k@4.43

Mon pm Weights session including legs, abs and upper body.

Tues pm 11.5k@4.39 Run incl hills was extremely easy, felt like I was floating.

Wed pm 10k@4.26 Went out for a 4.40 type run incl hills and just felt in the groove, so made it a bit quicker. Also only hard time for a quick run as we headed into hospital

Thurs pm 10k@4.57 Recovery type run.

Fri am 16.5k@4.45 Incl hills
pm 8k@5.08 Recovery run

Sat pm 10k@4.35 Incl hills and then a quick upper body weights session.

Sorry to hear about Tracey's grandma. Please pass on to Tracey our condolences.

I suppose going for a run can be quite cathartic in those circumstances.

Keep it up. How are is the shoe situation?

I echo Homo's message - condolences.

Perhaps a long run next Suday as it appears I'll be blowing off Challenge?

yeah all the best with the difficult life stuff!

good to see some recovery runs, and hitting some really good speeds there with the faster runs. way to go!

My wife (eagles fan) and I (dockers fan), are also feeling a bit depressed about the whole footy situation...Its almost time to say well hopefully 2009 will be better, but statistically still possible for a turnaround, and some good signs, just not getting the desired result. Doesnt help when the umpires keep kicking a few...

Condolences.

I can see you getting a big PB in half marathon soon.

Thanks Guys.

Homo-the Infiniti have had a hard layer put on the heel and that seems to be working a lot better.

Epi-Sun run sounds good.

TB- Just think of the good draft picks that both teams will get, might as well think of the positives.

Sling-may try for a pb in 1/2 in Aug, will see how we go.
