Great holiday

A couple of photos from the trip including the gang at Everest Base Camp including myself,Epi and his dad and one of me at Kala Patthar with Everest in the background.

Had a great holiday in Nepal with the highlights being the trip to Everest Base Camp 5364m and the trip to Kala Patthar 5545m. The trip to base camp was highlighted by it snowing and we spent about 1/2 an hour there having lunch and taking photos, Epi was crazy enough to take his shirt off with a couple of others, pity some girls didn't do the same. One thing that came to mind on the day was just how desolate the landscape was and how it looked like the moons surface.

The next day we travelled to Kala Patthar on a perfect day and the views were just phenomenal, no photos could ever do it justice, we had Everest 8850m,Lhotse 8516m,Nupste 7864m and Ama Dablam 6814m as part of the background and it was just amazing.

I felt very lucky to be given the opportunity to vist the Himalayas and would definitely look at doing again in the future. What amazed me was at how much peace the people are and also how hard they work, porters were carrying huge amounts of weight up the mountains with smiles on their faces. Also, watch out for the crazy traffic in Kathmandu.

Running 18.5kms 3 runs @4:50

Onto the running front, I ran for the first time in 6 weeks this week but unfortunately ended up with a virus and spent most of the week in bed. I've now decided to try and build up slowly with no speedwork or hillwork and will concentrate on getting time into my legs before moving onto the next phase. December will be a month of building up a solid base before the proper assault for Boston, btw Bostons entries are closed so I'm glad I got in reasonably early.

Best of luck to Sling for his Half in Singas and hope Biscuitmans ITB is on the improve.

Eagles should have picked Jetta in the draft, although Sheppard has good genes. Greatt to see Mitch Marsh batting well for WA, should be playing for Aust in the very near future.
