Canberra is Booked

Have booked accomodation and flights for Canberra Marathon, so now the countdown officially begins. Was lucky enough to get an upgrade to Business on the way back.

Fri am 5k@5:24 ran with dog for first time ever, she didn't seem to like running too much.

Sat No Running, unfort Trace came down with bad case of Gastro, so looked after her.

If anyone has any ideas on good places to run in Hong Kong, please let me know.

Rob,

When are you going to HK?

The best place to run is Bowen Road in Hong Kong island. You can take the Peak tram (ask for which stop?) or easier, a cab from your hotel. It's 4k one way with distance markers, virtually no traffic and with excellent views (it's in the middle of the highest peak).

If you live in Kowloon side, it's more difficult to run because the space is more limited. You can try the tiny Kowloon Park. It's quite a taxi ride to go to Bowen Rd if you live in Kowloon.

There are alos lots of trails and bike paths, but they are not located in city hotels areas.

cool! be interesting to see how canberra compares this time after the good run in 2008. all the best to Trace in getting through the gastro its been going through our house this last week also...
