Sun am 32.27km@4:39 2hr 30min long run incl 4* Mt Yokine Hill. Stopped at home at 26.5km for gel. Ran in Sauconys again and other than a couple of little blisters, the shoes felt great.

Prob will do another reasonable week this week and then start the taper.

Went to the Running Centre Saturday and bought some racing shoes for Boston, Saucony Fasttwitch 4 and Asics DS Racers. I'll probably wear the Sauconys in the race, however will give the DS Racers a trial this weekend. Also bought some 2150's which I ran in this morning and they feel fantastic.

Rob - I reckon you are now in top shape and have a very realistic chance to do sub-3 in Boston.

You're on fire big man, running well even when the Eagles are playing so poorly

All the hard work is done - don't do anything stupid in the next couple of weeks!

The Fasttwitch 4s got a great write up in the April issue of Running Times "a sublime marathon shoe" - looks like you got some top advice

Fantastic week Clown. Things looking very positive for Boston for you at the moment. Ive really enjoyed the superior cushioning in my Saucony Hurricanes since my little brother gave me stunning christmas pressie beginning of the year, although mine are a bit on the heavy side. Hopefully a better week for wearing that beanie I saw in the Everest photo next week.
All the best with the final 3 weeks of preparation. Hopefully a really significant result for you on the way!
